It’s the messy things in life that attract Laura Carter. In a literal sense, she enjoys making a mess with paint by using her hands and fingers in each work. She finds that most of her best work springs from difficult times. Her current work explores a range of emotions and facial expressions through portraits. In the end, she hopes that her art will “look and feel like an emotional story or journey.” Fun fact: as an avid art collector, she has filled almost all the empty spaces on her walls.
